1849 Vermont and Massachusetts Rail Road Company Capital Stock

Description

This is a stock certificate owned by Abigail Chaplin from the Vermont and Massachusetts Rail Road Company for 3 shares dated the 1st of May 1849.  Attached is a document from Abigail Chaplin  assigning Label Morse as her attorney to "sell, assign and transfer 6 shares of her stock to another party.  The certificate is missing a small piece from right margin and both documents have fold creases.  Certificate measures 8.5 X 7".
