1870 New Haven and Derby Railroad Company 00 Bond
Certificate
Early bond, guaranteed by the City of New Haven. Certificate is hand-signed by Morris Tyler, a well-known New Haven Republican. He owned a company that manufactured boots and shoes. He served as Mayor of New Haven from 1863-1865, and as the 56th Lieutenant Governor of Connecticut 1871-1873. Bond is also signed by New Haven Mayor William Fitch, who served 1869-1870. Punch cancellations, but good condition.
