This auction is for:
1890 Utica and Black River Railroad Company 00 1st Mortgage Gold Bond Certificate
Line was opened in 1855 and ran from Utica to Boonville, NY. In 1858 it extended to Carthage, with connections to Lake Ontario and the St. Lawrence River. In 1886 it was leased in perpetuity to the Rome, Watertown and Ogdensburg Railroad, who later transferred it to the might NY Central. Large and ornate bond with large train scene vignette.
