    The American was produced from 1911 to 1914 in Chicago, Illinois. Motorcycle brake and hub manufacturer, A. J. Musselman, founded the company and purchased motorcycles wholesale from established manufacturers Yale, Armac, and Thiem.
    This is a full page magazine ad from 1912
