1951 Santa Catalina Island Grand National Motorcycle Race Pin/Articles INAUGURAL

Description

This yearly race was short lived, from 1951-1958.  This lot includes the rare, original souvenir pin and two full articles.  The single page article is from "The Motorcyclist" dated January 1951.  The two page article is from "Cycle" Magazine dated May 1951. The pin, I cannot name the medal.  It is about 1" diameter.  It depicts Catalina's famous mountains, the famous Casino building, palm trees and other various buildings if you look real close you'll also see moored boats in the harbor.  Pretty cool.  This pin was found among my father's items.  He was a motorcycle enthusiast.  Biked all his life.  Thanks for looking at all the photos.  The photos are considered part of the description.  Again, thank you.
