    The Minnesota Museum, located in
Minneapolis, took on a different look
when it opened its doors for the
    First Annual Minnesota Museum Motor-
cycle Show. Bikes from all over the Mid-
west were invited and their attendance
proved to be high. Quality bikes of every
description were featured. Many of the
areas major custom builders projects were
showcased as well as some fine street rid-
den customs, classics, drag bikes, full
dressers and even the latest in hill climbers.
    The shows producer, Marlyn Klunder,
attempted to bring a wide array of the
    motorcycling world together and succeeded.
Besides the fine machinery, shops were
invited to show their wares as a service to
the bikers in attendance. Another plus for
visitors to the show was the Minnesota
    Motorcycle Riders booth which supplied
first hand information on the on going fight
to repeal the states helmet law.
The first year of a show doesn’t always
turn out to be as successful as the promoters
would like. In this case, however, every-
thing went well and plans for expanding
next years gathering are already in the
works, and should turn out to be another
class act from the bros up north.
