Delaware high school football fans need no introduction to the annual DFRC Blue-Gold All Star game, which has been played every year since 1957. Countless high school football players from around the state have taken part in the annual contest, with many going on to play college and pro ball.
For your consideration is a beautiful game worn jersey from the 1982 contest, which celebrated the event's 25th anniversary. The style of this jersey is similar to years past, with the addition of a special commemorative logo on both sleeves. Very little wear is evident on the shirt, consistent with being worn for just one game. The measurements are approx. 22-1/2 inches across from pit to pit, and approx. 32-1/2 inches in length from the top of the shoulder to the bottom of the tail.
This incredibly rare jersey would be a welcome addition to any Delaware football collection (it's hard to believe this is almost 40 years old!).
