    ,000 Norfolk & Western 1920 Gold Bond personally signed by the Company President and Company Treasurer, Issued/Cancelled.
    Royal Blue and Black.
    Printer's imprint: "AMERICAN BANK NOTE COMPANY, PHILADELPHIA."
    Once redeemed, the Secretary mounted the cancelled bond back in the bond book.  There is a stub remnant at left.
    I had 2 of these when I made this listing--that's all I will ever have.   Both are made out to "Lucius E. Johnson and dated May 25, 1920."  His Executor transferred them on September 24, 1921.
    Lucius E. Johnson was a past president of the Norfolk & Western.
    Yours may be a different serial number than pictured and slightly different cancellation marks, but will be otherwise exactly the same.
    Three vertical folds from being folded to place in a safety deposit box.
    The bond is 10" x 15 1/4"
