A Charming Winged Fairy!
This sweet cameo has an airy gentleness with a winged fairy admiring a bouquet of roses. The detail in the carving is exceptional and has 3D excellence. Her dress is flowing with billows, her hand is cupped around an entire rose, her wings are layered perfectly, her body profile is superb from head to toe and she's sitting on a cloud.
The carving is natural shell, the shell has a beautiful color of orange brown with orange yellow highlights and a white surface. The setting is 14k rose gold and it is tested as 14k. The shell measures 1 9/16 in diameter and the cameo measures 1 3/4" in diameter including the gold bezel setting. The back has the original C clasp pin assembly and a working flip up bail. The flip up bail measures 5/16" long and will accommodate up to 2.0mm chain.  The cameo weighs 9.90g.
The cameo is in excellent condition. There is no damage, no cracking, no splits and no missing pieces or gouges in the artwork. There cameo has a beautiful patina and all the tiny detail is visible and crisp. The setting shows slight age appropriate wear, however no major bends or gouges and no damage or repairs. You will love this enchanting fairy antique...she's a Victorian Treasure!
