In the Medieval Ages these music players were called minstrels. The carving is beautiful and well proportioned to make this cameo a beautiful and romantic piece of jewelry.
The trapezoidal cameo is quite large at 43 mm x 38 mm and is framed in an unusual, large, elegant frame. The frame is made in Jugendstil Art Nouveau style and it looks timeless in its beauty.
