Authentic Vintage 1984 Michigan Panthers Rare 1981 Rawlings RTS Football Helmet

For your consideration is this very rare and original and Vintage Rawlings RTS “Noodle” Football Helmet, which from our investigations lead us to believe it was issued and used by the USFL Michigan Panthers.
This appears to be an original Panthers team issued helmet, although we do not have documentation it was ever used in a game, or which player may have used it. This beauty includes rare and authentic team issued decals which show appropriate shrinkage for their age.
The RTS was called the “Noodle” helmet due to Rawlings revolutionary use of large surgical tubing between the air padding and the shell to provide extra protection. This helmet includes a rare complete set of original tubing and near complete set of leather/vinyl padding. Please note the original noodles are brittle and must be handled with care or they will break, but at this time everything on this amazing helmet is in tact and original. Although the RTS was only made for a few years, it was a mainstay for several USFL and NFL teams and players.
This is a nice large 7 1/4 helmet just as many of the USFL and NFL stars from this era wore. Helmet shows attractive minor scuffing, and is dated 2-81, for February, 1981.
Helmet came to us with the original and vintage Schutt Red Dot OPO favemask in appropriate purple color you see here to match the photo, as well as vintage clips.
Will make a stunning display, and looks like it just came off the field! Please note that we are not claiming this helmet was worn by the Panthers in a game, but it sure looks like it was theirs. This is rare item indeed, and is perfect for that Panthers fan who has everything!
