    1911, Maryland. Bond for ,000 in the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad. Issued to “Louis D. Brandeis and Helen W. McElwain Trustee under the will of William H. McElwain” THIS IS NOT SIGNED BY LOUIS BRANDEIS. Punch and Stamp cancelled.  Excellent condition.
    BRANDEIS, LOUIS D. (1856-1941).  Lawyer; Associate Justice of the U.S. Supreme Court, 1916-39; Brandeis University was named for him.  Brandeis was a strong supporter for economic, social and political justice, and one of the first advocates of conservation.  As a member of the court and staunch reformer, Brandeis wrote many decisions supporting social legislation.
