Original American Roadshow Lobby Card
This ORIGINAL, lobby card was designed and printed to promote the first theatrical release of the 1939 classic American, drama/romance/war feature, GONE WITH THE WIND.   This card was created for the exclusive Roadshow engagement, the very first release of the film.
The film stars Clark Gable at Rhett Butler, and Vivien Leigh as Scarlett O'Hara.  The film features Leslie Howard, Thomas Mitchell, Hattie McDaniel, Butterfly McQueen, Victor Jory, George Reeves, Evelyn Keyes, and Ann Rutherford.  It was directed by Victor Fleming.
The lobby card is an ORIGINAL movie poster.  It is NOT a reprint, reproduction, re-issue, or commercial item available to the general public. It was created to be displayed in the movie theatre lobby to publicize the film.
Heritage Auctions in Dallas, Texas, has sold this same style lobby card three times in the past seven years, as reported in their on-line sales archives.  The card sold for 5 (2005), 5 (2006), and 53 (2008).  It's not possible that any of those cards were in better condition!

The lobby card is in outstanding, near mint condition.  There are no tears, fading, stains, smudges, missing paper, folds, or pin holes.  The reverse side is clean and unmarked.  The paper is fresh and crisp.  The colors are richer and brighter, than the scanned image suggests.  The card could not be in better condition!
