    Description

Shop the past with BlurryRobot!  This is a 20-year bond coupon redeemable in 1911 (20 years after the 1891 issue date) for the princely sum of .  Which today would be about 0...but to make the value even more incredible, the bond specifies payment in *gold*.
No wonder it was redeemed and punched long ago.
This coupon is probably from the initial bond issue of the Jamestown line, the first street railway in western New York, which lasted 'til 1938 when it was replaced by the buses of the Buffalo Transit Company.
