    George Cukor guided this film to three Oscar nominations, including Best Picture, Best Director, and Best Adapted Screenplay. Katharine Hepburn stands out among the excellent cast, an ensemble that later versions of the film would attempt to match. The card has some pinholes in the corners, scuffs, and a few other spots in the border. The left and right borders have both been trimmed by about 1/8th of an inch.
