HISTORICAL NOTES:
The Louisville Bridge Company
was financed and founded by the Louisville and Nashville Railroad in the 1860's to build a bridge across the Ohio River between Louisville Kentucky and Clarksville Indiana. At the time there were no bridges across the Ohio west of Cincinnati.
