These readers offer a contact-less readout of identification data (UID) from transponders (cards, key rings, etc.) compatible with ISO/IEC14443-3-A (for example MIFARE CARDS). The built-in two-color LED and buzzer can be used in various products. Readout UID data is sent as a string of ASCII characters through the RS-232 TTL open collector interface.
The data read from a transponder is transferred with RS-232 TTL interface. Standard transmission speed is 4800 bps.

The red LED cannot be used to indicate failure or danger.
LEDs are powered by internal voltage regulator via built-in resistors. The light is on when the appropriate LED is connected to the negative line of the power supply.
