    Offered here is the ACTUAL MATCH POINT TENNIS BALL used during the Michal Mertinak & Frantisek Cermak vs. Alexander Peya & Bruno Soares 3rd round men's doubles match at the 2012 US Open.  Peya and Soares won the match, played on Court 17 on September 3, 2012 - 6-7, 6-3, 7-6.  The ball was collected by the officials on court after the final point and immediately authenticated by a MeiGray Group representative after the match, where it was marked by MGG using synthetic DNA and given an individually serial-numbered hologram
    This match-used ball is registered into the MeiGray Group Authentication Program as number USTA 06330.
    2012 was the first year that tennis fans had the opportunity to obtain actual match used balls, including balls specifically used for match point, properly authenticated to individual matches. The ball is accompanied by a Letter of Authenticity from The Meigray Group.
