    Description

This is a vintage original 11x14 in. US lobby card from the classic 1930's crime drama
    PICTURE SNATCHER
, released in 1933 by Warner Bros. and directed by Lloyd Bacon.
Ex-convict Danny Kean (James Cagney) decides to become honest as a photographer for a tabloid paper. He falls in love with Patricia (Patricia Ellis), the daughter of the policeman who arrested him. Mr Nolan, her father (Robert Emmett O'Connor), doesn't like that relation at first, but McLean (Ralph Bellamy), Kean's boss, convinces him of Kean's good nature. But Kean uses his relation to Patricia to make a photo of an execution. Due to this, Nolan loses his stripes and Kean isn't allowed to see Patricia any longer. But when one of his former friends kills two policemen, Kean sees his chance....
The image features a dramatic scene from near the film's climax as photographer ex-convict turned tabloid photographer Danny Kean (
    James Cagney
) comforts a woman and two young children (one of which is child star
    Cora Sue Collins
, born in 1927 and still with us today!). The border artwork features a tinted close shot of
    Cagney
smiling as he holds a blonde in his arms while touching the corner of the picture frame that borders the scene below.
This vintage original lobby card is unrestored in very fine- condition with only light signs of wear on the tip of the top corners; a large amount of wear on the bottom right corner, and a small area of wear along 1.25 in. of the edge of the bottom border near the right corner. There are no pinholes, tears, stains, or other flaws and the color tints are very fresh and vibrant with absolutely no signs of fading.
Provenance: The Morris Everett Jr. Collection.
