Offered here is an original 11 x 14 lobby scene card from the classic comedy trio “The Three Stooges”. This lobby scene card is from the 1938 short subject title “Mutts to You”, which features the “Stooges” operating a dog grooming business. The business is set up with a conveyer belt system and water wheel that requires Curly to keep pedaling on a stationary bike in order to keep the water flowing. The Stooges have a rich client named Manning, which after a colossal misunderstanding, leads them to leave their baby on their front doorstep. Thinking that the baby is abandoned, the Stooges take the baby back to their apartment, even though there is a rule prohibiting babies or dogs on the premises. The afternoon paper comes out notifying the public of a baby that has been kidnapped and the Stooges then attempt to return the baby to his parents. In doing so, Moe and Larry disguise Curly as the baby’s mother and calling him “Mrs. O’Toole”. A police officer (Policeman O’Halloran” strikes up a conversation with “Mrs. O’Toole” and it doesn’t take long for him to realize that the Stooges are the kidnappers. The Stooges make a run for it, pulling Curly and the baby in a laundry cart. The trio eventually get caught and the baby is reunited with his parents, who explained the misunderstanding and exonerates the Stooges. With the Manning’s noticing their baby being dirty, the Stooges put the infant through the dog washing machine, but of course, things go awry as Curly accidently hits the wrong buttons on the controls and the machine ends up slapping the baby’s behind. This offered card shows Curly dressed up as “Mrs. O’Toole” in the laundry basket with the baby as Policeman O’Halloran, the Manning’s and Larry and Moe look on, along with a curious dalmatian. This lobby card displays toning and has multiple pin hole marks in each corner and on the top center. There is also edge and corner wear, along with circular push pin marks on the corners.
