    STEPPING FAST
, released in 1923 by the Fox Film Corporation and

. A young ranch man is captured by criminals because he possesses the secret of the location of a gold mine in the Arizona desert. After being thrown into San Francisco Bay, he is picked up by a tramp steamer and forced to work his way to China, where he again meets the gang. With the aid of some American sailors, Mix and the daughter of the scientist who discovered the mine fight their way out of a Chinese den and start back to the States, where they succeed in getting the treasure. The cast includes Tom Mix, Claire Adams, Donald MacDonald, Hector V. Sarno, Edward Peil Sr., and George Siegmann.
The image features an interior shot inside a cell in a Chinese den and depicts Grant Malvern (
    Tom Mix
    ) and Helen Durant (
    Claire Adams
) being held prisoners as Mix has a white rat tied to a
    makeshift leash
. It is unrestored in fine- condition with random signs of wear in the borders and some corner creases. There are no tears, stains, writing, or other flaws.
