This line - running from Bryan to Toledo - was originally incorporated in Ohio as the Toledo and Indiana Railway. In 1910, the company was reorganized as the Toledo and Indiana Traction Company. A year later, the line became the Indiana Railroad Company.
The line came under the control of the Cities Service Company in 1926.
Passenger service was discontinued in 1939.
