Two Original Aladdin Casino, Las Vegas, Advertising Boxing Ring Corner Post Pads:

This auction is for two padded boxing ring corner post pads from the old Aladdin Casino in Las Vegas, NV.  I purchased these in an auction held in Las Vegas years ago and have displayed them ever since.  Although I don’t have any other backup provenance than that, they were sold to me as being from the old Las Vegas casino, so that is how I am presenting them to you.  Displayed in two corners of a room they look GREAT and get a LOT of attention. Not to mention looking real nice being in opposite corners of the room!    Each corner pad measures about 45.5” tall, 8” wide a the face, and about 4.5” deep.  They are shaped like a triangle so they could fit snug in the ring corners.  There are straps on the backside that would have tied them onto the ring posts to hold them in place.  Each pad has a small cut out hole, one near its top and the other near its bottom.  I’m not sure what those were for but am guessing it had something to do with securing them in place.  The covers are a thick vinyl material and there are zippers in the back that would allow them to be removed for cleaning, I’m again guessing.  The “Aladdin” lettering is in outstanding shape on both of them.  There are some imperfections in the covers with some tape residue, some scratches and light pen marks, but nothing major.  I never did much to try and clean them up other than wipe down the covers since I liked the original look that they presented.  Imagine who’s DNA may still be on these!  (Just kidding.)  But the Aladdin did hold some well-known fights in their history, so who knows?  Overall, these ring corners are in very nice shape and give a GREAT visual!  Where else will you find some original ring corner posts from the Aladdin?!  Even the lettering color is nice and bright with no sign of any fading.  This sports advertising pieces are super unique, in  real nice shape and display very well.  They will make a great addition to any boxing, casino, Las Vegas, or sports themed collection!  And are sure to get a lot of comments when people see them!
