Very Rare (1904) LONGHORN Atchison, Topeka & Santa Fe (ATSF) Stock Certificate.Fine condition with no tears or marks. Measures 11.75" x 8.25".
Labeled "very rare" because I can't find another stock certificate from ANY company that has a LONGHORN on it, or even another one from Atchison, Topeka & Santa Fe. In addition, it has the unusual artwork of a Native American on horseback spearing a buffalo.
100 shares of preferred capital stock sold on October 28, 1904 to the New York City investment bank Heidelbach, Ickelheimer & Co. They in turn transferred this stock to Ephraim L. Corning of the Bankers Trust Company, 16 Wall St., NYC on October 27, 1921. The . State of New York stock transfer stamp on the back is also rare. I can only find denominations between -10 online. Truly a historic document.
