Vintage St. Joseph Railway, Light, Heat & Power Stock Certificate & Metal Badge

Vintage Stock Certificate for 100 shares of St. Joseph Railway, Light, Heat & Power along with a metal badge that matches the certificate number (94).  Looks like the certificate was issued in 1905 and cancelled in 1913.  Issued to Fidelity Trust Company, Trustee.  The nickel plated brass badge measures 1 3/4 inches in diameter and reads St. J.R.L.H.&P. Co. 94 and Service Dept. at the bottom.  Pin opens and closes fine and almost looks new.  I don't know why there is a metal badge with a number that matches the certificate number and why Service Dept?    If someone knows please inform me.  Auction is for the one certificate but I have more.  Purchased at an estate auction.  Shipping in the US for .50.  No sale internationally.
